Communications Officer

Here is an excellent opportunity for an innovative, emotionally intelligent, agile and flexible Communications whizz to join the Hauraki District Council in a permanent full-time role.

The Communications Officer will encourage community engagement and participation in Council's decision-making processes and services through proactive two-way communication. They will ensure consistent, relevant, creative and quality information is provided to Council's customers and stakeholders using multiple channels and platforms as appropriate to specific audiences and projects.

A tertiary qualification in communications/public relations and some practical experience in a related field is imperative to be successful in this position. Combine this with computer literacy in Adobe, MS Powerpoint, HTML / content management systems such as episerver, weebly or wordpress, and social media and digital marketing expertise and you could be the winner.
